Sustainability

Efficiency starts
with the design.

Modern refrigeration, electric warehouse equipment, solar generation and responsible water management are part of the hub we are designing. Our aim is to protect food while managing the energy and water needed to store and move it.

Our design commitments

Product care and resource efficiency.
Planned together.

Food security is our main goal. Sustainability shapes how we plan to deliver it: selecting suitable equipment, considering electricity demand, putting roof and parking areas to work, and managing water responsibly.

These are design commitments. Final systems and measured performance will be confirmed through engineering, commissioning and operating records.

Technology and equipment

Select for the product.
Plan for the climate.

01

Refrigeration and controls

Current-generation refrigeration and controls considered around product temperatures, the UAE climate and electricity demand.

02

Suitable machinery

Equipment selected for operating suitability and energy performance, with maintenance and operating routines considered from the start.

03

Electric warehouse handling

Electric forklifts and warehouse handling equipment planned around loads, movement patterns and the operating environment.

04

Stock and movement information

Warehouse-management requirements considered alongside product identification, rotation and the movement of goods.

Solar by design

Solar on the roof.
Shade over parking.

Our solar plan targets coverage across the storage roof and parking areas, combining on-site generation with shaded parking canopies.

The final layout, installed capacity and connection arrangements will follow detailed engineering and the relevant approvals. Generation figures should be published once the system is commissioned and measured.

Water stewardship

Use water carefully.
Treat it before discharge.

Water efficiency starts with equipment selection, cleaning methods and operating routines. Our design brief includes metering and wastewater treatment before disposal, with treatment performance checked against the requirements applicable to each discharge stream.

  1. 01

    Reduce demand

Consider water use when selecting equipment and defining cleaning and operating routines.

  2. 02

    Measure use

Plan metering so consumption can be understood and opportunities for improvement assessed.

  3. 03

    Treat wastewater

Include treatment before disposal, with the process suited to the actual wastewater streams.

  4. 04

    Check discharge quality

Verify treatment performance and applicable discharge requirements through testing and operating records.

Protecting food.
Respecting resources.

Product care and resource efficiency should work together. Your goods, handling needs and delivery requirements help inform the facility and operating scope.

Once commissioned, electricity use, solar generation, water consumption and treatment performance can be assessed through operating records. Measured results will provide the basis for improvement.
